What fruits and vegetables are in season where you live? Have you incorporated them into your recipes?.
Back in the day before townhome living, I kept a vegetable garden, complete with peppers, radishes, corn, peas, and pumpkins. Since I am now strictly a flower-growing deck gardener, I am out of the loop on the fruits and vegetables scene. However, I still know what is up at harvest time. Being an amateur farmer and a product of America’s Dairyland, I am well tuned to the agricultural world. I know that corn, pumpkins (and many other gourds), apples, and wheat are mature enough for harvest.
I have not yet incorporated any of these ingredients into any recipes. My latest culinary endeavor was chicken chimichangas for last Sunday’s book club. Perhaps I will venture out to the local orchard and pick up some apples for a tasty pie. While at the orchard, I could purchase some ingredients for a fresh pumpkin pie.

What is the best beer on planet Earth?
Submitted by Remmy Van Hornie.
I love beer. I will only drink good beer. I will never stoop to the level of Budweiser, Michelob, or any other ultra-mass produced U.S. beer. If the beers listed below are not available, I will gladly consume Molson Canadian, Labatt Blue, or Heinekin. Hopefully tomorrow's question will be about the world's worst beer.
Leinenkugels Oktoberfest tastes almost like Northwoods used to taste. I have a hard time telling the difference between the two brews. If I recall correctly, Northwoods had more of an edge. Oktoberfest does well as a substitute.
Unfortunately, Oktoberfest is a seasonal brew. For year-round drinking pleasure, I rely on Leinenkugels Red.
I'm thirsty.
